Promotion of EU Opportunities for Youth: Spazio Zero is dedicated to
promoting EU-funded opportunities for young people. We organise local
events to inform the youth about various EU opportunities, ensuring they are aware of the benefits and possibilities. Additionally, we conduct workshops in local schools to educate students on these opportunities and encourage them
to participate in EU programs.

Active youth participation: Aligned with the EU Youth Strategy of ‘Engage,
Empower, Connect,’ we focus on boosting active youth participation at the local level. We organise various non-formal educational activities designed to
empower young people and equip them with the necessary tools to engage more actively in the democratic life of Lugo. These activities include interactive
workshops, discussions, and training sessions that enhance their skills and confidence. We also work closely with young people to help them develop and implement their own projects, fostering a sense of ownership and involvement in community initiatives.

Intercultural events: One of our primary objectives is to enhance interculturality in Lugo. To achieve this, we host events that discuss, debate
and present different cultural elements, thereby raising cultural awareness
among young people. These events not only celebrate diversity but also
promote mutual understanding and respect. Through these intercultural exchanges, we aim to create a more inclusive community where young people appreciate and embrace different cultures.

Volunteering activities: Volunteering is at the heart of our activities, and we
strongly believe in its values and benefits. As an association, we actively
participate in and promote volunteering. Our initiatives include ‘Walk and Talk’
events, where participants engage in meaningful conversations while walking,
and ‘Plogging’ events, which combine jogging with picking up litter to promote
environmental awareness. We also organise ‘SWAP events,’ where participants
can exchange items they no longer need, fostering a sense of community and
sustainability. Through these activities, we aim to instill a spirit of active volunteering among young people, encouraging them to contribute positively
to their community.
